Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium sits on the edge of the 200 metre Tuwaiq cliff in Qiddiya City, about 40 minutes from central Riyadh. Designed by Populous, the roughly 45,000-seat venue combines what Qiddiya calls a world first: a retractable roof, a retractable pitch and a giant LED wall that can part to frame sweeping valley views, letting the bowl switch between football, concerts and esports. It will be home ground for Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr and is a designated FIFA World Cup venue, and a cooling lake beneath the stadium stores captured rainwater to pre-cool its air conditioning. The FCC and Nesma and Partners joint venture is the main contractor. Pin is approximate within Qiddiya City.
