About the project

Qiddiya is a Public Investment Fund giga-project rising across a 334-square-kilometre site in the Tuwaiq Mountains southwest of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, conceived under Vision 2030 as the kingdom's capital of entertainment, sports and culture. Master-planned with BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and developed by Qiddiya Investment Company, Qiddiya City stacks theme parks, motorsport and esports venues, water parks, ski and adventure attractions, performance halls, hotels, offices and residential neighbourhoods along and beneath a 200-metre escarpment, with the cliff face itself treated as the organising spine of the masterplan. Its anchors include Six Flags Qiddiya City, the Aquarabia water park and the 46,000-seat Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, a cliff-top venue combining a retractable roof, a retractable pitch and an LED mega-wall, and a proposed host venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Together they make Qiddiya one of the largest entertainment and leisure developments under way anywhere in the world.
