Six Senses Beijing is a low-rise luxury retreat planned for the historic Three Hills and Five Gardens (Sanshan Wuyuan) cultural area of Haidian District, on land once given over to imperial rice paddies near the Summer Palace. The design reinterprets the traditional siheyuan courtyard house at resort scale, threading light-filled dining and wellness pavilions across two connected, water-laced sites linked by hutong-style pathways, private gardens, boat jetties, and a pier. A collection of just seventy-five rooms and multi-bedroom suites is woven into a garden landscape conceived as an urban sanctuary of reconnection, pairing Six Senses' signature wellness programming with a deep sense of place rooted in Beijing's imperial heritage.
