Tampa Bay Rays Stadium is a proposed Major League Baseball ballpark and surrounding entertainment district on the Hillsborough College Dale Mabry campus in Tampa, directly across Dale Mabry Highway from Raymond James Stadium. Envisioned as the Rays' long-term home after an earlier St. Petersburg plan was abandoned, the roughly 2.3 billion dollar project centers on a thirty to thirty-five thousand seat ballpark wrapped by a mixed-use district of retail, dining, and entertainment uses. It is backed by a public-private funding framework that pairs the Rays' private investment with contributions from Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.
