Water Street and a wave of headquarters

Tampa added about 27,700 residents between 2020 and 2025, up 7%. Headquarters keep arriving: Signode came from Glenview, Illinois, Limbach moved its corporate base here in 2026, Wagamama shifted its U.S. headquarters from New York, and defense contractor Orion Edge came from Colorado.

Downtown's Water Street Tampa finished its first phase in 2023 and is building its second, and its Thousand & One office tower is 95% leased. Hillsborough hotels booked a record $1.2 billion in taxable revenue in fiscal 2025, and Site Selection ranked Tampa's business climate in the national top five for the first time.
