About the project

The Power District is a roughly 100-acre mixed-use megaproject rising on Salt Lake City's west side, transforming the former Rocky Mountain Power industrial site along the Jordan River between downtown and Salt Lake City International Airport. Developed by the Larry H. Miller Company around a master plan by Sasaki, the district is anchored by a new all-electric Rocky Mountain Power corporate headquarters designed by SOM with Architectural Nexus and built by Okland Construction, plus a restored riverfront led by James Corner Field Operations. At full buildout it is planned to deliver about 4,700 homes, roughly 1.3 million square feet of office, around 300 hotel keys, and some 320,000 square feet of retail, alongside parks, trails, and entertainment uses. The Power District also holds the shovel-ready site at the center of Utah's bid to land a Major League Baseball expansion franchise.
