The Revery

The Revery is a 24-key retreat set on the rugged coastline of southwestern Chania in Crete, a short drive from Elafonisi Beach and roughly two hours from Chania International Airport. Accommodation splits into three types: The Revery Wild, safari-inspired tented pavilions of 40 square meters and up set along the shore with hydrotherapy plunge pools; The Revery Suites, clifftop units from 53 square meters with private heated pools; and The Revery Villa, a 285-square-meter house for up to six guests with a heated infinity pool on its terrace. Architecture is by Eirini Apostolaki of Archtify, with interiors by Sophia Vantaraki of the Athens studio ThingK, both working in local stone, timber and tensile canopies that read as an extension of the cliff face. The property centers on Filema, a cliffside restaurant serving seasonal and locally sourced Cretan cooking through the day, and the ROEE Spa, which holds four treatment rooms and a thermal circuit of sauna, steam room and hot and cold baths alongside a fitness space and outdoor yoga decks. An 80-year-old chapel dedicated to St Anthony sits on the grounds and is licensed for wedding ceremonies. The Revery is a member of Leading Hotels of the World, operates seasonally from March through November, and welcomes guests aged 12 and above.
