Thompson Rome brings Hyatt's Thompson Hotels brand to Italy for the first time, set inside a reimagined 1940s landmark on Via delle Botteghe Oscure, a street woven into Italy's postwar political history, steps from Piazza Venezia. The hotel holds 69 rooms and suites, 19 of them suites. Restoration revived the building's original marble staircase and uncovered a sculptural wall and inlaid floor by artist Gio Pomodoro. Dining runs through LYVE Restaurant under executive chef Fabio Fioravanti, with Mediterranean cooking centered on seafood, the LYVE Rooftop overlooking the domes of the centro storico, and a lobby lounge. An art collection featuring Francesco Del Drago, Giangaetano Patane and Guido Strazza is joined by a rotating artist-in-residence program. The hotel is owned and operated by AG Group and Rossifin Group.
