Life Time Lakewood Ranch, the newest club in Life Time's athletic country club portfolio, has officially opened its doors today at 5000 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, on the Sarasota County side of the master-planned community. It spreads 86,000 square feet across two stories, with a resort-style beach club, waterslides, and eight pickleball courts.
The beach club will carry the outdoor program, built around lap and leisure pools with waterslides, private cabanas, lounge seating, and bistro dining. Pickleball will run along the edge of the pool deck. Five outdoor courts will have tournament-style lighting, and three more will sit indoors under a covered pavilion with dedicated viewing space.
Inside, the workout floor will hold free weights, cardio, and strength equipment, and five boutique studios will run CTR, Pilates, barre, yoga, and other formats, alongside Life Time's signature group training programs GTX, Alpha, MB360, and Ultra Fit. The recovery suite will put HydroMassage lounge chairs, CryoLounge chairs, Normatec compression, and Hyperice devices on the floor. The hydrotherapy suites will hold saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, and cold plunges. A full-service LifeSpa will offer skincare, body, hair, and nail services, with LifeClinic chiropractic care next to it.
The Kids Academy will take children from 3 months to 11 years old, with a movement studio, a toddler area, an infant room, a kids' gymnasium, an activity studio, and an outdoor play area, and up to 2.5 hours of daily child care will be included with membership. A LifeCafe will handle meals on site, and a Life Time Work club lounge will give members a place to work between a class and a swim. The club is expected to employ about 200 people. Members who joined the waitlist early are promised preferred pricing, app access, branded gear, a Dynamic Personal Training session, and priority class reservations. "The community has been calling out for a club of its own," said Steve Datte, lead general manager of Life Time Lakewood Ranch.
Life Time has been building across Florida ahead of this one. Life Time Harbour Island opened in Tampa in July 2024 at 186,000 square feet, with a beach club and 20 pickleball and tennis courts, and its waitlist topped 10,000 before the doors opened. Life Time Miami at The Falls opened in August 2023 at 120,000 square feet, and Life Time Palm Beach Gardens debuted in 2022.
