Little Ruby's is officially coming to West Palm Beach. The New York all-day cafe from Wish You Were Here Hospitality Group, the one on the West Village corner of West 4th Street and Seventh Avenue, is slated to open at CityPlace next year. Dallas is the only Little Ruby's outside New York today, with West Palm Beach as the next city on its list, and the Bronte burger is coming with it.
Australian expats Nick Mathers and Lincoln Pilcher opened the first Ruby's Cafe at 219 Mulberry Street in Nolita in 2002, modeled on the beach cafes of Northern Sydney. It has since grown into a neighborhood staple across the city, with cafes in Soho, Murray Hill, the East Village, the West Village, and Williamsburg. The West Village corner is the one most people picture: a small whitewashed brick building with oak-framed glass doors, "little Ruby's cafe" written in script across the facade and boxwood hedges running along the sidewalk. The Dallas cafe opened at 23Springs in Uptown for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the group describes it as a blend of

's laid-back coastal culture and New York City energy.
The Bronte burger is the signature, named for the Sydney beach. Around it sit spicy vodka pasta, ricotta hotcakes, chicken schnitzel, and avocado toast, the all-day staples that run from breakfast through dinner at the New York cafes. The Australian accent shows up at the edges, with Vegemite toast on the menu and an Aussie lager behind the bar. It is a cafe menu in the Sydney sense, built to work at 8 a.m. and at 8 p.m. in the same room.

CityPlace is where it will land, and the district around it is in the middle of a build. 15 CityPlace and 10 CityPlace, two office towers, are rising now and set to deliver in 2027, the same year Little Ruby's is slated to open, with an 18-story, 400-room Curio Collection by Hilton hotel expected beside them around 2029. The district hosted Taste of West Palm Beach on October 16, a citywide food festival that brought more than 30 restaurants onto its streets.
West Palm Beach is drawing a wave of New York restaurant brands as wealthy residents move to Florida, part of a push to become a "premier culinary capital." Little Ruby's fits the pattern closely: a breakfast-and-lunch cafe opening in 2027 beside roughly 960,000 square feet of new office space delivering the same year at 15 and 10 CityPlace. What a guest will find is the same thing that has kept the West Village corner busy for two decades: ricotta hotcakes in the morning, a Bronte burger at lunch, spicy vodka pasta and a schnitzel at dinner, and Vegemite toast for anyone who grew up on it.
