Sports Illustrated Resorts Nashville has officially opened on Music Row. The 185-suite property at 1600 McGavock Street is the first fully branded Sports Illustrated Resorts destination anywhere, and the template Chicago, Baton Rouge, and Tuscaloosa will be measured against.

Travel + Leisure Co. launched Sports Illustrated Resorts in 2023 under license from Authentic Brands Group, which owns the magazine, and aimed the concept at college towns and sports-heavy markets. Three years on, the first flag flies in a pro-sports city with record tourism instead, a read on where the company sees demand first while Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa wait their turn.
Every one of the 185 suites has a full kitchen and in-unit laundry, in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, an apartment-scale program for an ownership crowd that stays longer than a night.
Downstairs is built around gameday, with a Sports Illustrated Fit fitness center, a sports bar, a game room, and a quick-service dining venue, alongside an owners lounge and an on-site sports concierge. The building is also home to The Trophy Lounge and The Outfield Pool — which anchors a deck laid out for gameday activities and events.

The final phase of construction will add a branded valet porte-cochere and an expanded tailgate deck in the coming months, ahead of an official opening celebration expected in November 2026.
It opens into a Nashville that just posted a record $10.56 billion in visitor spending, and into a hotel cycle running well above the sports bar. Pendry Hotels & Resorts has announced a Nashville hotel and residences, and The Nashville EDITION will bring a luxury hotel with high-rise living in the Gulch.
This concept is also expanding, with Chicago being next, taking over the original Virgin Hotels location with completion targeted for early 2027. Baton Rouge follows near LSU with a phased opening in late 2027, and Tuscaloosa gets a ground-up resort in 2028. That is four properties within five years of the concept's launch. Look for the Nashville celebration in November 2026, with Chicago on its heels early the next year.
