1 Hotel Tokyo is the first Japanese property from 1 Hotels, the sustainability-led brand operated by SH Hotels & Resorts, occupying the 38th through 43rd floors of the Akasaka Trust Tower at the heart of Mori Trust's Tokyo World Gate Akasaka development. The brand's biophilic signature is reworked through a Japanese lens: rough-hewn Oya stone walls trailing living greenery, reclaimed timber, hemp and paper textures, and a wabi-sabi restraint that lets weathered and imperfect materials carry the design. Its 211 guestrooms include 24 suites and three penthouses, most framed by floor-to-ceiling glass that turns the skyline — Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace grounds and, on clear days, Mount Fuji — into the room's principal ornament. The hotel's amenities run to a light-filled indoor pool, a spa and fitness floor, and dining anchored by NiNi, which works produce from the property's own farm programme into a seasonal Japanese menu, alongside a bar built for skyline drinking. Below it, Tokyo World Gate Akasaka wraps the tower in a pedestrian-oriented base of retail, offices and public greenery.
