About the project

6800 Sunset is a two-building mixed-use complex anchoring the prominent southwest corner of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue in the heart of Hollywood. Designed by Gensler with landscape architecture by OJB, the development is led by a roughly 504-foot, 42-story high-rise that steps down toward the south to meet the lower-scaled buildings along the Highland corridor. The tower pairs about 304 market-rate apartments with a 115-room hotel and roughly 23,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial and restaurant space, while a companion 12-story building adds 80 income-restricted senior residences. Together the two structures bring housing, hospitality, and street-level retail to one of Los Angeles's busiest entertainment crossroads, activating a long-underused site with landscaped open space and active pedestrian frontage.
