About the project

8844 Burton Way is a 26-story residential tower planned for a site on Burton Way between Herzl Way and Swall Drive, on the eastern edge of Beverly Hills. Developed by Crescent Heights with architecture by Large Architecture, the roughly 310-foot building would hold 200 apartments, including 22 homes reserved at extremely low and moderate income levels, above 316 parking spaces. The revised design pares the tower to a slender, gently articulated form with deep balconies and a landscaped rooftop deck oriented toward the Hollywood Hills and the Los Angeles basin. Advanced under California's Builder's Remedy provisions, which allow projects to bypass local zoning where a city lacks a compliant housing plan, the tower would rise far above the low-rise commercial fabric of the Burton Way corridor and rank among the tallest structures in Beverly Hills.
