Aramco Stadium rises on the Arabian Gulf shore of Al Khobar as the Eastern Province's new landmark venue, designed by Populous and wrapped in overlapping translucent sails that evoke Gulf waves and whirlpools, with spiralling ramps and walkways that follow the same motion. Its elliptical bowl seats about 47,000 for football and up to 55,000 for concerts, with a compact footprint that aids natural ventilation and cooling across the bowl and concourses. The stadium anchors an 800,000 square metre masterplan of retail, entertainment, an e-gaming hub and a training centre with two pitches, targets LEED certification, and becomes home to Al-Qadsiah FC. ROSHN owns it, Saudi Aramco operates it on a 25-year concession, and BESIX and ALBAWANI are building it for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and as a 2034 FIFA World Cup venue.
