Avani Kyoto

Avani Kyoto marks the Avani brand's first hotel in Japan, set on Karasuma Street in Nakagyo-ku on the site of the former Kyoto Shimbun headquarters. Taisei Corporation and Heiwa Real Estate are redeveloping the block by renovating the existing North Building and adding a new South Building, with Minor Hotels as investor and operator of roughly 240 guest rooms. The property connects directly to Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Subway Line and sits within walking distance of the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Nijo Castle. Multiple dining outlets and shared social spaces are planned for both short and extended stays.
