First & Island is a planned 35-story luxury condominium tower, rising roughly 415 feet with 215 residences, on a long-vacant parking-lot parcel at the corner of First Avenue and Island Avenue in downtown San Diego's Marina District, immediately south of Horizons Towers.
First & Island is a planned 35-story luxury condominium tower, rising roughly 415 feet with 215 residences, on a long-vacant parking-lot parcel at the corner of First Avenue and Island Avenue in downtown San Diego's Marina District, immediately south of Horizons Towers. Developed by Bosa Development and designed by Vancouver-based James KM Cheng Architects, the roughly 273,000-square-foot project sits at the convergence of the Marina District, East Village, Little Italy and Cortez Hill. Sales and permitting activity advanced through late 2025, with construction anticipated to begin in the 2026–2027 window and delivery targeted around 2027; amenities, floor plans and pricing have not yet been released.
