Gasworx

Gasworx is a 50-acre, roughly six-million-square-foot mixed-use district being built on former industrial land between downtown Tampa, the Channel District and the Ybor City National Historic Landmark District. Led by KETTLER with local landowner Darryl Shaw and Prague-based PPF Real Estate USA, the master plan calls for close to 5,000 residences, more than 500,000 square feet of office space and roughly 150,000 square feet of retail across eighteen properties, organized around walkable streets, multi-use trails, the Paseo retail corridor and the roughly one-acre Gasworx Park. The district is explicitly transit-oriented development, built around a realignment of Tampa's TECO Line Streetcar System and a new in-district streetcar stop, together with a new East Fourth Avenue rail crossing that stitches back streets long severed by the CSX corridor. Master planning and architecture come from Sasaki, S9 Architecture and architect of record Smallwood, with buildings delivered by Moss and CBG Building Company. Completed and rising components include La Union Residences and Social Hall, The Stevedore, the Olivette and Luisa residential buildings, a converted marketplace hall, and a six-story Class A office building anchored by Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, alongside a planned Live Nation music venue.
