Madrid Nuevo Norte

Madrid Nuevo Norte is one of Europe's largest urban regeneration projects, transforming roughly 2.3 million square metres of former railway land around Chamartín station in northern Madrid's Castellana Norte corridor. Led by developer Crea Madrid Nuevo Norte — backed by BBVA, Merlin Properties, and Grupo San José — the masterplan stitches together four districts: Las Tablas Oeste, Malmea-San Roque-Tres Olivos, the Chamartín Business Center, and a remodelled Chamartín station. At its heart rises a new financial skyline crowned by Torre Madrid Nuevo Norte 1, a roughly 330-metre, 70-storey landmark set to become the tallest building in Spain and Western Europe. The mixed-use scheme also delivers around 10,500 homes, an expanded high-speed rail hub, new Metro connections, and a large central park, channeling decades of planning into a sustainability-driven, transit-oriented district.
