Madrid Nuevo Norte is one of Europe's largest urban regeneration programmes, transforming the railway lands around Chamartin station in northern Madrid into a new business and residential district. Led by Distrito Castellana Norte, a company majority-owned by BBVA alongside Merlin Properties and Grupo San Jose, the master plan spans more than 2.3 million square metres across four zones and is anchored by the landmark Torre Madrid Nuevo Norte, planned as the tallest tower in Western Europe. The scheme weaves new offices, homes, parks and a remodelled Chamartin transport hub into a walkable, transit-oriented extension of the Spanish capital.
