NoMad Detroit brings Hilton's NoMad brand into The Station at Michigan Central, the 1913 Beaux-Arts rail terminal in Corktown designed by Warren & Wetmore and Reed & Stem and restored by Ford and Michigan Central over six years, a 18-story tower with 176 hotel keys at 2001 15th Street targeting March 2027.
The hotel anchors the west side of The Station and takes the top five floors of its tower, floors 14 through 18, which will be occupied for the first time in the building's history. Developed through Michigan Central and NoMad Hotels, the Sydell Group and Hilton joint venture, it was first announced with nearly 180 rooms including 30 suites; Hilton's latest openings release lists 176 rooms. Plans call for a signature NoMad restaurant and bar reimagining the station's historic restaurant and carriage house, a library and lobby bar, a lounge, a spa, a fitness center and more than 4,500 square feet of meeting space, with interiors showcasing Detroit artists and makers. It is Hilton's first luxury lifestyle hotel in the United States.
