Rosewood Amsterdam marks the brand's first hotel in the Netherlands, set inside the former Palace of Justice on the Prinsengracht in the heart of Amsterdam's UNESCO-listed canal belt. Built in the 17th century and later serving as the city's courthouse, the landmark reopens after roughly a decade of restoration as the last new hotel permitted within a monumental building in Amsterdam. The hotel holds 134 guest rooms and suites, among them five signature Houses conceived for a residential-inspired stay, each drawing on Amsterdam's architectural and artistic heritage. Interiors by the Dutch firm Studio Piet Boon pair historic grandeur with contemporary craftsmanship, while a garden by celebrated landscape designer Piet Oudolf brings native planting and biodiversity into the courtyard. Dining venues, an Asaya spa blending Eastern healing traditions with modern therapies, and a roster of canal-side experiences round out a property that hands one of Amsterdam's most storied buildings back to the city as a new landmark of hospitality.
