Waldorf Astoria Residences New York brings private ownership to one of the most storied hotels in the world. Rising above Park Avenue in Midtown East, the 47-story Art Deco tower has been reborn through one of the most ambitious restorations in the city's history, a project that stripped the 1931 landmark back to bare steel while preserving its most treasured interiors in collaboration with the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill led the architectural restoration; interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot shaped the residences and their amenities, from custom kitchens fabricated by Molteni&C to a residential wellness floor anchored by a lap pool overlooking Park Avenue. The 372 condominiums range from studios to expansive four-bedrooms and penthouses, several crowned by private terraces, and share more than 50,000 square feet of private residential amenities alongside the return of the Waldorf's grand public rooms, including the restored Peacock Alley and its two-ton 1893 World's Fair clock. Owners live above a fully reimagined Waldorf Astoria hotel, reuniting a New York icon with the residential legacy that first made the Waldorf name synonymous with Park Avenue living.
