SLS The Red Sea carries Ennismore's playful, nightlife-minded SLS brand onto a cove on Shura Island's north side, in buildings by Foster + Partners whose undulating, coral-like canopies shade the arrival court and pool decks. The resort has 117 rooms, 18 suites and 15 private pool villas. Dining runs to five venues, among them Floating World (Japanese-inspired), the Saudi debut of London's Seabird, Italian Fi'lia and The Perch beach bar, and the resort adds the Ciel Spa with hydrotherapy, the island's largest pool, an open-air cinema and kids and teens clubs. A reimagined SLS duck by Saudi artist Heba Ismail greets guests at the pool.
