Locally nicknamed the Panda Tower, Tianfu Center is a 489-meter, 95-story supertall by Kohn Pedersen Fox anchoring Chengdu's Tianfu New Area. Its silhouette follows the structure of a mountain, stepping through distinct tiered sections that shift from one side to the other before tapering to an iconic peak, with gardens set on different floors to create a sequence of biophilic sky spaces as visitors climb. Inside it layers offices, a hotel and retail, culminating in a glass-walled summit observation deck opening onto panoramic views of the Chengdu skyline. On completion it is set to become the tallest building in southwestern China and one of the tallest towers in the country.
