1428 Brickell

The Residences at 1428 Brickell is a 70-story, 861-foot ultra-luxury condominium tower on Brickell Avenue in the heart of Miami's financial district, developed by Ytech under founder and chief executive Yamal Yidios. Architecture is a collaboration between Milan's ACPV Architects, the studio of Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, and Miami's Arquitectonica, with Citterio and Viel also shaping the interiors and Magnusson Klemencic Associates engineering the structure. Coastal Construction is building the tower, which sits on a landscaped Brickell parcel a short walk from Mary Brickell Village and Brickell City Centre. The building's defining gesture is its solar facade, a west-facing array of roughly five hundred photovoltaic-integrated windows spanning close to twenty thousand square feet. Billed as the first high-rise in the world partially powered by the sun, the system is projected to generate about 175,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy a year, offsetting roughly 4,700 tons of carbon dioxide and the equivalent of 3,000 barrels of oil annually while shading the residences behind it from Miami's afternoon glare. Inside are 195 limited-edition homes in two- to four-bedroom layouts ranging from roughly 1,800 to 4,000 square feet, finished with Italian Arclinea cabinetry, Rimadesio glass enclosures and Gaggenau appliances. More than 80,000 square feet of amenities unfold from a double-height lobby through a botanical garden setting to a skyline pool, dedicated wellness and yoga levels, and resident lounges. Anchored by a record-setting mat foundation pour, the largest ever executed in Brickell, and capitalized by a J.P. Morgan-led construction facility, 1428 Brickell stands as one of the most technically ambitious residential towers in Miami.
