Chapter SLC is a 252-unit, 696-bed student housing development that broke ground on April 9, 2026 at 900 East 400 South in Salt Lake City's East Central neighborhood, on the former OfficeMax site near the University of Utah. Developed by Cole West and CRG and designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, the project rises five wood-frame residential stories over 2.5 concrete parking levels, with a unit mix of 41 studios, 21 one-bedrooms, 64 two-bedrooms and 126 four-bedrooms, plus ground-floor commercial space, 170 parking stalls and bicycle parking. Amenities are pitched at students, including a soda shop, ski simulator, Pilates studio, library, jumbotron and rooftop pool. Completion is expected in June 2028.
