About the project

Hatai is Heatherwick Studio's first project in Thailand — a landmark mixed-use development in Bangkok's Silom district inspired by the warm glow of traditional Thai lanterns. The project houses two hotels: the reimagined 250-room Narai Hotel (debuting in 2028 as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt) and Six Senses Bangkok. Alongside the hotels, 56,000 square feet of public space includes a green canopied plaza, restored canal, elevated walkways, and gathering spaces such as a shrine, open-air market, and event venues. Designed to achieve LEED and WELL Gold certification, the project blends heritage and contemporary design with a strong sustainability focus. The Narai Hotel will feature all-day dining, rooftop dining, lounge, pool, fitness center, and event spaces. Located near Chong Nonsi BTS station and the Chao Phraya River with seamless access to Bangkok's business, diplomatic, and cultural districts.
