Hatai Bangkok
Hatai is a lantern-inspired mixed-use quarter on Silom Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak district, designed by Heatherwick Studio as its first project in Thailand for Narai Hospitality Group on the historic site of the original Narai Hotel.
Official Website222 Silom Road, Bangkok. 300 hotel keys. Broke ground 2024, targeting Q4 2027.
The scheme pairs two hotels, a Six Senses Bangkok and a new Narai Hotel, with more than 300 rooms between them, alongside a wellness centre, ballroom and conference facilities, retail and dining. At ground level a green, canopied public plaza of about 5,200 square metres brings native planting, a restored canal, elevated walkways, a shrine, an open-air market and event spaces to the heart of the Silom business district, close to BTS and MRT stations and the Chao Phraya River. The project reuses the original Narai's wooden foundations and targets LEED Gold and WELL Gold certification.
Narai Hospitality Group reports Hatai's first lantern facade panels went up on 5 May 2026, with finishing work ongoing and opening scheduled for Q4 2027.
