Hatai Bangkok

Hatai is a mixed-use 'Lantern Quarter' in Bangkok's Silom business district in Bang Rak, designed by Heatherwick Studio as its first project in Thailand on the historic site of the original Narai Hotel. Developed by the Narai Hospitality Group, its stacked, glowing forms are inspired by traditional Thai lanterns and house two hotels — Six Senses and a new Narai Hotel — with more than 300 rooms plus a wellness centre, ballroom, and conference facilities. At street level, 5,200 square metres of new public space introduce a green canopied plaza, elevated walkways, and a restored canal, built by contractor Thai Obayashi across roughly 86,000 square metres of floor area.
