National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame
The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame at 1720 Gendy Street in Fort Worth's Cultural District has grown with a $19 million expansion, open since November 2026.
The roughly 16,000-square-foot westward extension was designed by Paris-based Projectiles (design architect) with EwingCole as architect of record and Linbeck as builder. Its exterior carries monumental precast concrete bas-relief panels with about 70 running horses, and a new entrance faces the neighboring arena. Inside are new galleries for fashion, photography and personal collections, a 250-guest event venue, K-12 programming space, and a 30-foot custom carousel with 18 horses built by San Francisco's Barrango. The city of Fort Worth committed $6.5 million to the project.
