Nashville's East Bank is officially getting its first look at the 600-room hotel that will rise beside the new Nissan Stadium, a full-service hotel at Eastpoint that, if it stood today, would rank as the third-largest hotel in downtown Nashville, with 75 suites, an outdoor pool terrace on its fourth level, a food and beverage concept and a distinctive structural element at its top, and an opening set for December 2030.

The first renderings have just been released and the design submitted, filling out the roughly 600-key hotel penciled into Eastpoint, the 30-acre neighborhood taking shape on the stadium's doorstep, when its master plan was unveiled in May.

At the East Bank Development Authority's October 27 meeting, The Fallon Co., Metro's chosen East Bank developer, laid out what the hotel will have, with CEO Michael Fallon putting the count at 600 rooms, 75 of them suites, alongside 20,000 square feet of retail and 35,000 square feet of event space. HKS is the architect and Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor. Beneath the hotel, three levels of underground parking will hold around 500 spaces.

The hotel sits on Parcel C1, directly adjacent to the stadium, and it is one of only three hotels permitted across the Initial Development Area south of the stadium. Fallon said the partner is a public company, and he expects to announce the flag next month. "Reaching this stage with the hotel design is a pivotal moment for Eastpoint," Fallon said in a release. "With our commitment to affordable housing underway, this hotel is our next milestone, serving as the essential anchor for the mixed-use commercial space that will drive the broader development." From here the design goes to the East Bank Design Review Committee for approval.

Construction is set to begin in October 2027 and is expected to take about 36 months, with the opening set for December 2030. That falls after Nashville hosts the Super Bowl in 2030, and Fallon said last month the hotel will not be open in time for the game; the firm spoke with Brasfield & Gorrie about speeding up construction, and no option made it. Before Fallon can break ground on the hotel, Metro must address water, sewer, electric, and natural gas infrastructure, among other utilities, on the ground beside the stadium.

Ben York, CEO of the East Bank Development Authority, said the authority is working through the process of making the land where the hotel will stand available and ready to build on, the step that comes before the 600-room hotel, its fourth-level pool terrace and its 35,000 square feet of event space can start rising beside the stadium.

The hotel will be the second building to rise at Eastpoint. Eastpoint Flats, a fully affordable block of 323 apartments developed with Elmington Capital Group, broke ground in May as the neighborhood's first.

The master plan arranges the neighborhood around a 1.5-acre central plaza framed by approximately 50,000 square feet of multilevel shops and restaurants, with tree-lined streets, offices, and residential towers filling in around it. Elsewhere on the East Bank, Oracle's riverfront campus is expected to deliver in 2031, the relocated Tennessee Performing Arts Center designed by Bjarke Ingels Group is expected around 2030, and the Oracle pedestrian bridge across the river is expected around 2028.
