Palace Hotel Hakone

The rebuilt property is a four-story mountain resort with one basement level, 12,850 square meters of floor area and 69 guest rooms, including six suites and five standalone villas, with rooms running from 57 to 250 square meters, or 69 to 271 square meters with open-air bath terraces, and views toward Mount Fuji. Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei is the architect, Kajima Corporation the contractor and Tara Bernerd & Partners the interior designer. The program includes a spa, pool and fitness gym plus three food and beverage outlets: all-day dining, a lounge bar and a specialty restaurant. The property is owned by Hakone Sengokuhara Special Purpose Company, with Palace Hotel Co. as brand and operator alongside Kyuden Group partners Kyushu Electric Power and Craftia (formerly Kyudenko), the group's entry into luxury hotel development. The site is about 50 minutes by Hakone Tozan Bus from Odawara Station and 30 minutes by car from the Tomei Expressway's Gotemba interchange.
