About the project

STH BNK by Beulah is a twin-tower mixed-use scheme on City Road in Melbourne's Southbank, designed by UNStudio with Cox Architecture and pitched as the tallest building in Australia. Its defining gesture is the Green Spine, a sculptural tower whose twisting form carries planting up its full height to 366 metres, alongside a second tower on the same amalgamated holding. The program was drawn as a vertical city: apartments, a hotel, offices, retail and a substantial band of publicly accessible space, wrapped around the spine. It became one of the most widely published unbuilt Australian towers of its decade, attracting international attention and strong pre-sales. The site is a large double holding on Southbank's southern edge, opposite the arts precinct and within walking distance of the Yarra.
