Brisbane Olympic Stadium

Brisbane Olympic Stadium is a 63,000-seat civic venue planned as the centrepiece of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, set within the parkland of Victoria Park in the Herston precinct just north of the Brisbane CBD. Delivered by the Queensland Government through the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority, the roughly A$3.8 billion 'stadium-in-the-landscape' is designed by Cox Architecture, Hassell and Azusa Sekkei, drawing on the Queensland verandah to weave the seating bowl into the surrounding green space. It is planned to host the Games' opening and closing ceremonies and the athletics program, with a warm-up track and reshaped public realm knitting the venue into the wider park.
