DFW Airport Terminal F is the sixth passenger terminal at Dallas Fort Worth International and the centrepiece of the airport's multi-billion-dollar capital programme, designed by PGAL with Gensler and Muller2. The first phase delivers a roughly 400,000-square-foot concourse with 15 gates, expandable to 31 at full build-out and operated exclusively by American Airlines, together with a new Skylink station that ties the terminal into the airport's automated people mover. Its most unusual feature is how it is being made: six vast megastructure modules are prefabricated at a dedicated site elsewhere on airport property, then moved across the airfield on self-propelled transporters and set in place, a record-setting application of modular construction at airport scale that compresses the build and keeps work clear of active taxiways. The terminal is paired with a substantial expansion of the neighbouring Terminal E, which gains more than 100,000 square feet of new check-in, security and baggage-claim space, and the complex rises on the east side of the airfield beside the existing Terminal E apron.
