The Historic Gas Plant District redevelopment reimagines the 86-acre Tropicana Field site in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, as an $8 billion mixed-use neighborhood led by Blake Investment Partners (the "Burg Bid" team) with the Related Group and the Pinellas County Housing Authority. Anchored by a 13-acre central park, a relocated Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum and a "museum row" of cultural institutions, the plan reconnects the historically Black neighborhood's street grid and layers roughly 3,600 income-restricted residences with hotels, retail, a workforce-training "Collaboratorium" and a multimodal transit hub knit together by the pedestrian Legacy Link corridor.
