About the project

Hope Village is a transformative, multi-phase initiative that reimagines the neighborhood surrounding Homeboy Industries and the former Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles into a care-first community centered on healing, housing, and reentry services. Anchored by the Fr. Gregory Boyle Center for Radical Kinship, the project will include more than 200 units of supportive and transitional housing and 35,000 square feet of space for mental health care, workforce development, education, legal services, and other wraparound support, while connecting to a broader network of housing and community facilities. Led by Homeboy Industries, the initiative is supported by McCourt Partners through a development partnership, with the firm providing leadership on a $100 million fundraising campaign, strategic development planning, and collaboration on the broader vision.
