About the project

Legacy Hotel & Residences is a 50-story mixed-use tower on NE 1st Avenue in Miami Worldcenter, the master-planned district in downtown Miami, developed by Dan Kodsi's Royal Palm Companies and designed by Kobi Karp Architecture. The scheme pairs 310 compact, fully furnished condominium residences with no rental restrictions and a 219-room hotel, anchored by a 120,000-square-foot health and wellness center on a 1.5-acre site. The tower reached roughly its 16th floor before work stopped over a slab placement issue, and the project has since been tied up in a foreclosure fight between the developer and lender Monarch Alternative Capital, with a dozen contractors also pursuing lien claims.
