The Waterfront Development is the largest single component of RWS 2.0, Genting Singapore's roughly S$6.8 billion expansion of Resorts World Sentosa, and it enlarges the integrated resort's floor area by about half. The scheme extends the resort west toward the water with a new public promenade, a four-storey retail, dining and entertainment complex, and two luxury hotels adding more than 700 keys to the property's existing collection. A landscaped "mountain trail" threads through the development and climbs above the podium, while an 88-metre light sculpture anchors the waterfront as a night-time landmark and gives the quarter a signature silhouette from across the harbour. The programme is deliberately weighted toward non-gaming attractions, part of a broader repositioning of Resorts World Sentosa around leisure, hospitality and family entertainment, and it sits alongside the resort's other refreshed assets including the Singapore Oceanarium and expanded Universal Studios Singapore lands.
