Capella Diriyah

Capella Diriyah marks the Singapore-based group's grand debut in the Middle East, taking a site in Diriyah's Northern Cultural District that looks out over Wadi Hanifah and frames views toward At-Turaif, the mud-brick UNESCO World Heritage citadel at the heart of the Kingdom's founding city. The design is conceived as contemporary Arabian architecture with explicit Najdi references, and in an unusual move a surviving section of Diriyah's original defensive wall has been folded into the building itself, giving the hotel a direct physical tie to the site's history that none of its neighbours can claim. Scaled as an intimate retreat rather than a grand boulevard hotel, it leans on Capella's signature personal-assistant service model, with two specialty restaurants, two swimming pools and an Auriga spa built around the brand's lunar-cycle treatment philosophy. Its position beside King Salman Square places it within walking distance of Diriyah's cultural and retail core while keeping the escarpment views to the west.
