Diriyah Gate

Diriyah Gate is the $63.2 billion, PIF-backed mixed-use giga-project rising around the UNESCO World Heritage At-Turaif district in Diriyah, on the northwestern edge of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Developed by Diriyah Company, the 14-square-kilometer masterplan is a low-rise cultural and lifestyle capital built in the Najdi architectural language of mud-brick earth tones, shaded courtyards and narrow walkable lanes. The program layers nearly 40 luxury hotels from brands including Four Seasons, Raffles, Orient Express, Armani, Baccarat and Rosewood with branded and private residences for around 100,000 people, the 400-unit Diriyah Square retail quarter, a Royal Opera House, a 20,000-seat arena, the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art, office space, and public landscapes such as the Heroes' Park, with the district targeting tens of millions of annual visits.
