Rising on a two-acre parcel at Cass Square in the Encore district, the city's Tempo neighborhood on the northeast edge of downtown Tampa, DoMo combines a 28-story residential tower of 360 apartments, from studios to three-bedroom homes, with a separate 10-story, 178-key Element by Westin hotel developed with Dynamic Group. Baker Barrios Architects designed the project with LD&D, giving the tower a crisp white frame, floor-to-ceiling glass and a sky lounge high above the district with views back to the downtown skyline. The base holds roughly 32,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, co-working space and a parking podium of about 586 spaces, and 30 of the residences are set aside as workforce housing under an agreement with the downtown Tampa Community Redevelopment Area, indistinguishable from the market-rate homes around them.
