The 35,198 square metre building gathers its program into stacked, timber-toned volumes screened by fine vertical fins that filter the coastal light, set in shaded gardens and plazas. Inside are three venues: a main hall of about 1,500 seats, a mid-size hall of roughly 700 to 750 and a studio space of about 150 to 200, designed for opera, orchestral music, theatre and Saudi and Arab performing arts. Modern Building Leaders is the contractor.
