Melia Ward Village is the taller of the two Robert A.M. Stern Architects towers rising on a 1.8-acre oceanfront lot at the heart of Howard Hughes' Ward Village in Kakaʻako, on part of the former Ward Centre site along Ala Moana Boulevard. The roughly 400-foot, 35-story tower holds 221 one- to four-bedroom residences between the seventh floor and the crown, with views across Ala Moana Beach Park and the Kewalo Basin coastline to Diamond Head. Its pale stone-toned facade, arcaded base and deep lanais are designed to harmonize with its sister tower, ʻIlima, drawing on Honolulu's early twentieth-century civic architecture, while interiors are by Champalimaud Design and AHL serves as executive architect. Residents share a landscaped podium by VITA with pools, lawns and cabanas, and a native botanical garden walk ties the two towers together, with Discovery Land Company shaping the hospitality-led residential experience.
