Seaboard Station is a phased, quarter-billion-dollar reinvention of the historic rail-side shopping district just north of downtown Raleigh into a dense mixed-use neighborhood anchored by residential high-rises. The current phase pairs a sixteen-story building over street-level retail, fitness, and bike storage with a twenty-story tower wrapping a screened parking garage in residences, together adding roughly 680 apartments in a mix of studios through three-bedrooms. The plan threads new retail and restaurant space at grade to keep the district's walkable, small-shop character alive, while a separately entitled parcel cleared for a tower of up to forty stories signals even greater vertical ambition for the site over time. Positioned between downtown, Mordecai, and Person Street, Seaboard Station knits a formerly low-slung retail island into Raleigh's growing skyline.
