Kolter has won administrative approval for a 21-story, 260-foot condominium tower on the former Fit2Run site at 232 and 256 2nd Street North, a block from Williams Park and Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg. Designed by 10 Design, the $60 million building holds just 62 residences, giving it a far more intimate scale than Kolter's larger downtown towers, with large balconies, floor-to-ceiling glass and panoramic skyline and bay views. A sixth-level amenity deck sits above the parking podium, and about 7,600 square feet of ground-floor space is planned for a private membership club. The design preserves a large live oak at the corner of 3rd Avenue North, and the residential lobby and drop-off front 2nd Street North. Kolter, which earlier planned a hotel for the site, has not yet released the tower's name.
