One Park Lane is a A$700 million twin-tower development at 1 and 6 Park Lane on the edge of the Southport CBD on the Gold Coast. Its residential tower rises 101 storeys to 393.5 metres, which would make it the tallest building in Australia, well clear of the nearby Q1 in Surfers Paradise and Melbourne's Australia 108. A second 60-storey commercial tower beside it carries more than 11,500 square metres of office space, and the two are joined by a fully glazed skybridge at the twenty-second floor holding a restaurant, function space and bar. The concept was prepared by BKK Architects and developed for approval by Cottee Parker, with landscape by TCL; root-like columns inspired by the Moreton Bay fig support an elevated podium beneath a dark grey high-performance glazed facade. The scheme delivers 197 apartments including a three-storey penthouse and two double-storey sub-penthouses, above twelve basement levels holding 426 cars, on a site of just 1,507 square metres.
