Vanderbilt Football Experience Center

Vanderbilt Athletics released conceptual renderings for the next stage of Vandy United, a $300 million facilities push around FirstBank Stadium and Frist Athletics Village on the university's West End campus in Nashville, funded largely through philanthropy tied to the Dare to Grow campaign. The Football Experience Center anchors it, with an indoor practice facility plus training, recovery, coaching and administrative space and a multipurpose hub for education, experience and hospitality. It is planned on the site of the current soccer and lacrosse complex, next to the outdoor practice fields, and is shown in renderings under a sweeping angular roof. The phase also includes a new home for Vanderbilt soccer and lacrosse with a grandstand stadium, an Olympic Sports Center with new locker rooms and facilities for multiple programs, an indoor court expansion at the Lummis Family Tennis Center for the men's and women's teams, and the conversion of Jess Neely Drive into a pedestrian corridor with food vendors, retail kiosks and pop-up installations. Athletics says it is still vetting sites for the soccer and lacrosse stadium and that the renderings are conceptual. The plan follows earlier Vandy United work including the new south end zone at FirstBank Stadium and construction at Hawkins Field.
