Official WebsiteThe Motley is a three-tower mixed-use development by IPB Properties transforming a former dairy-factory site at 1401 Church Street into a new gateway to Midtown Nashville. Designed by Nashville-based HASTINGS Architecture with construction by Axiom Builders, the full project will bring nearly 1,200 rental homes and more than 70,000 square feet of locally inspired commercial space, arranged around a central landscaped plaza with 'dancing' arches and a grand stair-ramp 'stramp.' Industrial heritage is echoed in precast facade panels imprinted with silo impressions. The Phase 1 north tower — which officially began construction in February 2025 — rises 26 floors and roughly 300 feet with 326 residential units, 27,000 square feet of amenities and 14,000 square feet of retail; the two later phases add a 32-story tower and a third tower of undetermined height. Phase 1 completion is anticipated in 2027.
