Shenzhen Cloud of Innovation Center

The Shenzhen Cloud of Innovation Center, known locally as the Chengjian Meiyuan Yuntou Tower, is a 407-meter supertall anchoring an innovation finance headquarters megablock in Luohu, at the meeting point of the Hongling innovation belt and the Dawutong emerging-industry belt near the Hongling metro interchange. Designed by Woods Bagot for Shenzhen Chengjian Group and billed as the Crown of Luohu, the curved landmark tower rises 83 floors, each with a different plan, wrapped in a shingled glass curtain wall of 14 distinct systems that reads like dragon scales. The program places Grade-A offices in the upper zone, where views are widest, and apartment-style hotel residences in the lower zone, above a five-level retail podium. Four further towers line the north edge of the site to open up generous public space toward the southeast, framed by nearby mountains and parks. The complex totals roughly 462,350 square meters of floor area and is conceived as a vertical civic center for Shenzhen's original central business district.
