About the project

The Earls Court Development is one of London's most significant urban regeneration schemes — a multi-billion-pound transformation of the 40-acre former Earls Court exhibition centre site straddling Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham. Led by the Earls Court Development Company with a masterplan team including Hawkins\Brown and Studio Egret West, the project reknits a long-dormant railway-severed site back into the city, organized around a generous new central park and a network of public squares, streets and east-west connections. The plans bring roughly 4,000 new homes, around 230,000 square metres of workspace, and three new cultural venues, alongside shops, restaurants and community space, with sustainability and biodiversity woven through the green spine at its heart. Conceived as a series of distinct character areas rather than a single megastructure, the development aims to create a vibrant, mixed-use west London district that reanimates the legacy of the storied Earls Court name.
