Tampa International Airport (Expansion)

The Airside D expansion is the centerpiece of the final phase of Tampa International Airport's long-term master plan, a roughly 600,000-square-foot, $1.52 billion terminal in Tampa, Florida that adds 16 domestic and international gates. Delivered by a design-build team led by general contractor Hensel Phelps with architecture and engineering by HNTB and Gensler, the new airside introduces a modern TSA checkpoint, a ground-level international arrivals inspection facility, upgraded concessions, and new automated people movers connecting it to the main terminal. The project significantly expands the airport's widebody and international capacity to support long-term passenger growth across the Tampa Bay region.
